Special Guest Series | Author John Vespasian

Hi all,

Welcome back to another episode on MindCep Podcast and in today’s episode we have a very special guest named John Vespasian joining us today.

This episode is brought to you by Radioguestlist.com, the #1 free radio, guest, podcast, and talk show guest expert interview booking service.

JOHN VESPASIAN is the author of eleven books about rational living, including “When everything fails, try this” (2009), “Rationality is the way to happiness” (2009), “The philosophy of builders” (2010), “The 10 principles of rational living” (2012), “Rational living, rational working” (2013), “Consistency: The key to permanent stress relief” (2014), “On becoming unbreakable” (2015), “Thriving in difficult times” (2016), “Sequentiality: The amazing power of finding the right sequence of steps” (2017), “Undisrupted: How highly-effective people deal with disruptions” (2019), and “Asymmetry: The shortcut to success when success seems impossible” (2020).

Vespasian has lived in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and The Netherlands. His books combine his passion for history, investing, and personal development, reflecting his philosophy of rational living, productiveness, and respect for the individual. “The purpose of my work is to draw practical lessons from history,” he explains. “If you want to make good decisions, you have to look at the big picture, and learn from the wisdom accumulated in centuries of human experience.”

“Knowledge is the only valid response to stress, the only formula that can make you more effective,” Vespasian argues. “My books contain the wisdom I have accumulated in decades of research. It’s all about learning from other people’s successes and mistakes, and figuring out how to apply those principles to your own life. In every book, I go through biographies and historical events with the goal of extracting from them lessons we can use right now.”

COVID19 Mindfulness & Exercise Strategies to Cope | Ep. 8

Hi all,
Welcome back to another episode on the MindCep Podcast and in today’s first episode of Transformation Tuesday’s discusses the importance of mindfulness & exercise.
In this first episode of my Transformation Tuesday series I will share different tips relating to mental & physical performance for you.
I recommend the headspace app for daily guided meditation, and currently if you do not have weights at home to utilize bodyweight exercises. Right now since many of us don’t have access to a gym we have to get creative with bodyweight training.
Here is a quick daily workout ranging from 5-30 minutes (your choice on the workout time haha) to get a daily workout in to stay healthy and happy during this difficult time:
3 exercises x 3 sets x 30 seconds/set x 10-15 seconds rest/set
-Pushups (As many as possible within 30 sec)
-Bodyweight Squats (ASAP)
-Ab Planks (ASAP)
I know it isn’t sexy but its super simple and easy to follow at home and from anywhere you are. You can increase the time under tension (40 sec sets versus 30 sec sets), or the number of sets 4 sets versus 3 sets, to get more of a burn during this workout and customize to your liking.
If you all enjoyed this episode and want to see additional episodes like these let me know in the review section of this podcast or on my social media below and I will be happy to hear your feedback 🙂
