Hi all,
Welcome back to another episode on the MindCep Podcast and in today’s episode we have a very special guest named Jon Baker joining us today.
This episode is brought to you by Radioguestlist.com, the #1 free radio, guest, podcast, and talk show guest expert interview booking service.
In this episode myself and Jon discuss ways to overcome introversion and build effective communication within meetings, teams, and personally. Jon outlines the importance of a handy acronymn called STOP:
S-Stop worrying about being introverted and own the fact you are who you are,
T-Time, introverts tend to need more time to process conversations and social interactions, but when given the time they usually come up with an extremely thoughtful response to the questions they are asked,
O-Orient yourself and others about you, some ways you can do this are to ask lots of thoughtful questions when you are getting to know new people
P-Position or environment are the last critical components of aiding your effort to bring out your best self in the area’s that suit you best
Jon and myself also discussed how many effective leaders are indeed introverts as well and learn to adapt in a predominantly extroverted world.
